Helloooo everyone,
The Youth Parliament election are fast approaching and you can cast your vote (through your school/college) between February the 1st and 5th.
We ask that you please make your vote count, as it could affect the year ahead for Wakefield's young people.
After a year as your MYP, I'm standing for re-election. PLEASE VOTE FOR ME - HOLLY BUXTON!
I think we have had a really successful year, making history at the House Of Commons in October and campaigning for issues which you feel are important and relevant in and around Wakefield.
I would also like to thank everyone who came to our silent disco last Saturday. It was a great success and we are incredibly grateful for your co-operation.
A final thanks... Emma Fletcher has been your Deputy Member of Youth parliament for the last two years and is unfortunately now standing down from her position. She has worked really hard on improving the lives of Young People across Wakefield and has shown dedication and passion throughout. So a HUGE thanks to her for all her hard work and for supporting me when I was the new, shy one!
Please take a careful look at all the candidates manifestos and make your vote count over the next couple of weeks.

I'm standing for election again next year too, so please vote for me when you get your voting paper in January 2010!
